This year is huge for Aspendale Cricket Club! Our Seniors are back in Division 1 of CSB after their epic Division 2 Grand Final win, and we’re also celebrating 75 years of cricket, camaraderie, and community. To kick off the season, we’re excited to announce our very first golf day at Rossdale Golf Club on Friday, September 27. It’s going to be a day full of fun, laughs, and a bit of friendly competition as we bring together players, sponsors, and supporters to look back on the club’s rich history and legacy.
Our 75th season is already shaping up to be one of the best. Preseason training is in full swing at Cricket HQ, and club coach Luke ‘Juice’ Wintle can’t wait to get everyone back on the hallowed turf at Regents Park. We’re also moving with the times by introducing live scoring via iPads—so you won’t miss a single moment, no matter where you are.
Our Junior programs are set to kick off in early November, with Woolworths Blasters leading the way, followed by teams from Rookies up to U18s, plus our girls in the CSB All Girls Cricket Competition. And here’s some more exciting news: we’re adding a fifth Senior team this year, playing Sundays on turf.
We’re also welcoming some awesome new sponsors to the Aspendale family. Big shoutout to Community Bank – Aspendale Gardens, The Street Cafe – Aspendale, and Brolec for coming on board. They’ll be joining our long-time supporters Safeguarding Australia and Complete Carers Co. on our playing shirts this season.
